Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello we have 6 delco x60 extenders, and we have a modem and router from our wifi provider (the router is model RAC2V1K) . The router they gave us puts out 2 connections, 2g and 5g. Currently one of our decos is placed right next to the router and is set to be the default device. The deco device connects to the router (with ethernet wire)  and is connected to the 2G connection.

So the way its configured we cant use the deco units with 5G since its already connected to 2G connection. So maybe we need a single band modem in order to have the extenders able to transmit 2g and 5g? Or maybe a deco branded modem?

Hi, Deco is also a wireless router by default so when it is wired to RAC2V1K, it will broadcast its own wireless 2.4+5GHz networks. Whether RAC2V1K is single or dual band would not affect the wireless signals of Deco X60.

It is suggested to go to Deco APP>WiFi settings> make sure both 2.4GHz and 5GHz are enabled.

(PS: Deco shared the same SSID for both 2.4GHz+ 5GHz.)

Thank you very much and best regards.
