Hello,

I recently switched from xfinity to ATT fiber. I've been running a Deco x60 mesh system with 1 primary router and 2 APs connected via ethernet backhaul. I have both a wired and wifi network where the xfinity modem, the router and the APs are all connected via an unmanaged 8-port gigabit switch. This has been running fine without any issues UNTIL recently where I switched to ATT fiber running a BGW320-500 modem.

All of a sudden, one of my APs will go offline after an hour and start blinking with a red light. The other AP is connected to the router via WIFI instead of ethernet backhaul.

I've configured the ATT modem to use IP passthrough in DHCP-fixed modem with the main deco router mac address. I've tried restarting the Deco units multiple times, but so far, still the same issue.

Anyone run into this problem before?

  @pikadeco

Hi, May I know the model number of your 8-port switch?

Have you tried to reset the two satellite Deco X60 once?--for the Deco AX models, the unit in the same package has been reconfigured and after reset, they could automatically reconnect to the main Deco X60.

By the way, is your network topology like this:

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

No, this was not how I had it set up. I had it set up with all of the decos going to the switch, which per https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1794/ does NOT work. I've gone back and set it up with the main deco directly connected to the modem and it is working now!
