When working with 2.4GHz the Wifi network cannot be found
Hi,
connecting a pair of deco m5 as access point.
when setting 2.4 & 5 GHz the wifi can be found, but when configuring it to work only in 2.4GHz, the wifi network is not visible.
Can you please advise?
I have to work with 2.4 GHz network for smart devices which cannot work on 5 GHz network.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Yoav

Hi, welcome to the community.
The latest firmware of Deco M5 1.7.3 has added an IOT network. Are you able to enable the IOT network under Deco APP>More>IOT network with another SSID for 2.4 GHz only to see whether the new IOT network could be detected?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hi David, thanks a lot for prompt response.
it seems now the Wifi network is visible, I can see it with my Apple macbook, but it's still not visible by the Iphone device.
Tried several Iphones (11 pro, 13 pro max) and both couldn't see the Wifi.
Were you reported about such issues of iphone to deco m5 wifi connectivity ?
Regards,
Yoav

Hi, I did see this feedback sometimes but I am not sure if it was Deco M5, or other models. Did the issue iPhones stop detecting 2.4 GHz of Deco start recently?
Have you tried to "reset network settings" and restart iPhones to see whether they helped?
It is also suggested to go to Deco APP>More>Network Optimization to scan the current network. It will display the current wireless channel of 2.4GHz and you can check the current channel oF Deco M5.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Same here, when I enable both 2.4 and 5GHz, I can see them and every device, but when I enable only the 2.4GHz Wifi for power saving, my phone can connect, but my old laptop and my raspberry pi 4 cannot. Also the only thing which changed is that I enabled the ipv6 with my ISP, it works on my phone (with the sim card directly), but I was not able to have the ipv6 working on the TPLink archer MR600 V1.
If I set the APN to iPv6 only, I don't have internet access, whereas I could have with my phone so the issue is not from the ISP.
