Model: Archer AX10000
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I used to connect the router directly to my Cable modem and it would obtain its IP from there and it would act as a DHCP server.  I have put a hardware firewall in between having the firewall connect to the internet and acting as the DHCP.  I have the router plugged into the firewall on a normal port and in the router I put it where the old ISP WAN was plugged in - the WAN port on the router.  Is that correct?  Should I put it in a regular port/aggregation port or leave it in the WAN port?

I just realized that I should set the wireless router up as a subnet under the hardware firewall and it should assign its own range of IPs and might need to be set up with a static IP to accomplish that.   I don't know if that static IP should be inside the range of IPs assigned as part of the firewall or outside. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, the firewall you mentioned should be a router as well, you could configure the Archer AX10000 into Access Point mode, then the DHCP Server will be still the firewall.

Here is the guide: How to configure the TP-Link wireless router as Access Point
