Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 Build 20210204 Rel. 50164

I just had a 300Mbps fiber Spectrum Modem installed. Running the speed test in the Deco app shows speeds consistent with that (336.7Mbps). When I run a speed test on my network (after the Deco) I only have about 120-130 Mbps.

I noticed if I prioritize anything the speed drops to half that, so nothing is set there. I have QoS Bandwidth set higher than my anticipated speeds.

I use four Deco X60 units in my network.

What else can I do to resolve this?

  @dmalerba,

How are you running the speedtest on your network? It is common to see dropoffs if you are testing wirelessly, as the speeds can be significantly slower than a hardwired connection. Also, there could be bandwidth that is being used by other devices on your network.

  @Riley_S

running wirelessly, however this is not a dropout. It NEVER gets anywhere close to where it should be.

One issue was I had prioritized a connection to a solar array which uses the 2.4 band. This slowed the entire network to speeds around 56Mbps. I thought it was just my lousy service, but just got fiber and it made no difference. After I removed that, it went to the speeds I mentioned earlier (~150Mbps) ALL of the time.

I had 4 X60's in use. I took 1 off yesterday. I now am getting speeds around 350Mbps.

I'm less than thrilled with the performance of these, I have to constantly "optimize" and pretty regularly have to reboot them all.

 I had a total of 6 X60's, not all in use, I returned 3 today & am seriously considering returning the other 3 too.
