Archer C50 Won't accept changes

Just received the TP-Link AC1200 Archer C50 router and I am attempting to set it up manually to get it ready to replace a Wavlink router. I want to get it all set up before I make the switch but I am not having much luck with the LAN IP address.
Whenever I attempt to change the LAN IP address and click save nothing happens. I have successfully set up things like the SSIDs for the 2.4 and 5G networks and I was able to enter the ISP login information.
I do not have it connected to the modem because I want it set up first and that should not make a difference anyway.
In the Network LAN setup there is no option for type of connection like the manual shows so I attempted to change the Operation mode to Access Point to see what happened and that won't work as well. When I click the save button it just refreshes and goes back to the Router setting.
This router was purchased from Amazon and arrived today Wednesday December 8th, 2021.
