Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

What is the best category of ethernet cable (CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6e, CAT 7, CAT8) to use for connecting devices to a Deco M5 Mesh station?  Or for connecting stations to create a backhaul network (if different)? What category cable comes with the unit?

Thanks in advance.

Anything higher than a Cat 5e would work fine, just not a Cat 5 as that is only 100 Mbps. If cabling is going to run throughout the house Cat 6 may be better since it is shielded from interference.

@Tony Thanks. Went with CAT6a throughout the house.

@Tony  What category cable comes with the Deco unit?  It is not labeled and I assume that if it is Cat 5e then I should upgrade that cable to CAT 6A too?
