Model: Archer A9
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20200416 rel.72485(5553)

Hello,

I set up an OpenVPN server on my Archer A9 router using TCP Service Type (I was not able to get UDP to work). When I connect to my VPN everything works fine; however I can only connect one client at a time. When I try to connect more than one client to the VPN server, it times out and will only connect once the current connection is terminated.

Is this expected when using OpenVPN as the VPN server on a TP Link router?

It may be the VPN service you are using that is placing the limit. Many do count all devices on the router as one but not all of them for example expressVPN supports 5.
