Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Can I hardwire my second Deco M9 (not the main unit) and still have a mesh system or would i need to use it in AP mode?  Would it be faster in theory if it were hardwired?

@RyanEverhart789

In router mode you can still hardwire your second Deco into the first Deco to get the best speed performance or have the First Deco go to a switch, then the switch to the second Deco.

@Tony thanks for the quick reply!  Just to double check it sounds like I can do one of these two options when hardwiring my 2nd Deco.  Is this correct?

@Tony would I expect this connection info to change to hardwire after I get things wired up?

@RyanEverhart789

In AP Mode you can do either Option 1 or 2.

In Router Mode only option 2.

If wired the signal source should say Ethernet.

@Tony thank you so much for your help.  I am in business with hardwired 2nd Deco.... I did have reboot after wiring it all up.. plugging it in brought the whole wifi network down :D
