Model: TL-WA860RE
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version:

This device has been subject to periodic 100F heat for years, so I won't feel bad if it's broken, but I need confirmation before I go to the company that installed it to replace it. I have disconnected it from power for several minutes, reset it (twice). The lights blink in the following sequence: Power: 6 times. Power: 4? times, then all three lights go on briefly. That sequence repeats.

An insight into what this means is appreciated, but any definitive "Yeah, it's broken" is what I need before approaching the vendor. Thanks!

  @scottb

To reset the RE successfully, press and hold its reset button for about 10 seconds.

What you've described seems like a boot loop and most probably the RE is defective.
