Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.12 Build 20240813 Rel. 33006

Hi Everyone.  I need help.  I had AT&T U-verse Internet:  100Mbps down / 20Mbps up.  Two weeks ago I purchased and installed Deco XE75 Pro three pack.  I easily set them up and was able to get all of my devices connected properly (wired & WiFi).  Earlier today, I changed Internet providers to Breezeline:  500Mbps down / 50Mbps up.  After the new service was installed, I attempted to do a speed test.  From my WiFi devices and hard wired devices (via gigabit switch connected to the main Deco unit) I did a speed test.  On both WiFi devices and hard wired devices I was only able to get download speeds of about 95Mbps down and 20Mbps up. I looked on the Deco app and changed a settting on the QOS tab.  I changed the download speed from 100Mbps to 500Mbps and changed the upload speed from 20Mbps to 50Mbps.  I restested on my WiFi devices (ex. iPhone 14) and instantly was able to get speeds of +500Mbps down and +50Mbps up.  However, when I did a speed test from my hard wired laptop (connected via a switch), I was still only able to get speeds of 95Mbps down and 20Mbps up.  I have confirmed that my Linksys unmanaged switch is Gigabit (to all ports).  Next I removed the switch from the main Deco unit and directly connected the switch to the cable modem.  I was then instantly able to get speeds of +500Mbps down and +50Mbps up on my hard wired laptop.  However, none of the other devices connected to the switch were able to connect to the Internet at all.  Per the router company (Netgear) their modem can only provide one IP address to a single device).  I removed the switch from the LAN port of the cable modem and directly connected my hard wired laptop via a CAT6 patch cable.  Once again I was instantly able to get speeds of +500Mbps down and +50Mbps.  So I know my gigabit switch is working properly and my cable modem is able to provide the proper speeds that I paid for.  It seems to be an issue when a switch is connected directly to the main Deco unit.

NOTE:

I tested with the switch connected to one of the gigabit ports and another test with the switch connected to the 2 gigabit port.  Speeds remained the same at 95Mbps down and 20Mbps up on my hard wired device.

All three of my Deco units are running the latest version of firmware:  1.2.12 Build 20240813 Rel. 33006

=================================================================

I called TP-Link support about my Deco units and the speed issues.  It was determined that they need to escalate this issue to the level 2 engineers.  I am currently pending a response / solution from support.

Has anyone else run into the same issues that I am experiencing?  Without a solution, I can't take advantage of my new Internet speeds !!!

Let's start with something basic please ensure that your network is configured according to either the first or second examples in this image: https://static.tp-link.com/upload/faq/image-20240329074344-12_20240329144345n.png.

Let me know if your switch is hooked up via exampe 1 or example 2

Sample # 2 - sort of. I have my gigabit switch connected to my main Deco unit and the main Deco unit is connected to the cable modem. However, I do not have my two satellite Deco units connected to the gigabit switch. Instead, the two satellite Deco units connected wirelessly to the main Deco unit.

On the main Deco there are two 1GB ports and one 2.5GB ports. I have the main deco connected from the top 1GB port to cable modem. I have my network switch connected to the main Deco unit via the second 1GB port on Deco. Is this correct? Should I change my cable connections?

Going to guess that switching the cable won't help but it's an easy thing to test so I would try it

Problems resolved !!! I found that I was using an old CAT5 cable between my switch to the Deco. I just replaced it with a new CAT6 cable and the speeds on every device on the switch are now getting 450Mbps-495Mbps. Whoop Whoop !!! I'm going to order some new CAT6 patch cable and replace my older non-CAT6 cables. Thanks for you assistance and input !!!
