  @AlanK47 I ran a channel analyzer with the 6 GHz option switched off and the XE75 was still broadcasting on the 6 GHz channel it was with the option switched on. Bottom line: If you turn the 6 GHz Network option to Off, the XE75 will still use the channel for dedicated wireless backhaul. If on, it will still backhaul, however, you can share it and use it with devices that use 6 GHz.

  @Accutronman

It is the same with other bands: they are always used for backhaul.
You can only control what the Deco offers to the devices.

Why doesn't the Deco App clearly show that the BACKHAUL is working at 6GHz?

Wouldn't matter how convoluted the configuration seemed (e.g., should you enable or disable the 6GHz Network option) IF there was confirmation within the Deco App that the BACKHAUL was using 6GHz!

I've been a systems analyst/programmer for over 50 (yes fifty) years and I cannot fathom why Deco would not provide this simple (yet VERY IMPORTANT) confimation to its customers who have contributed considerable money by purchasing Deco WIFI hardware?

Backhaul on my five Deco XE75 WIFI access points and router obviously works.  But NOWHERE does it confim if my setup is working to force it to use 6GHz for this backhaul.   I am almost frustrated enough to start looking for another solution.  For now I have bet on Deco XE75 to be my solution.   PLEASE DECO - DON'T MAKE ME REGRET THIS COMMITMENT.!.!.!

  @Hawk521 They really need to confirm this, otherwise leaving it in the air is legally sloppy.
