XE75 Dedicated backhaul confimation?
There has been SOOO MUCH information (and probable mis-information) spread about proper setup to ensure that the 6GHz channel is being used for BACKHAUL that I have grown quite frustrated with TP-LINK and Deco tech support. Why make this such a muddy issue?
How hard would it be for a Deco company tech support person to explain right here in plain English how to configure the XE75 to ensure this works? And tell us how to confim that this is the case!?!?
For example,
If (absent a wired ethernet backhaul) I disable the 6GHz Network, does this IN FACT ensure that this 6GHz band will become a DEDICATED BACKHAUL. Or does this simply deny the possibility that the 6GHz band could be used for this purpose?
OR - If I enable the 6GHz Network, does this IN FACT enable a 6GHz BACKHAUL? (FWIW, I do not have any devices that connect via 6GHz).
OR - Is the true solution to ensure 6GHz BACKHAUL something else?
Why cannot the latest Deco App provide the insight to confirm for me if my backhaul is working at 6GHz or not? Obviously my backhaul is working, but NOTHING I CAN FIND in the app assures me that it is indeed 6GHz. Asking me to rely on the dozens of (often conflicting) comments to know if this is true is a bridge too far. Come on Deco, step up and add this operational information to the Deco App - to at least assure those of us skeptics that our Deco networks are as optimal as we can configure them to be.
This is not too much to ask for. I purchased five (yes 5) Deco XE75s to cover my entire single story home as well as the far reaches of my front and rear yards and garage areas. The signal strength seems fine everywhere, but I have no way to confirm that my BACKHAUL is running on 6GHz. PLEASE CORRECT THIS! ASAP would be helpful!
