Model: TP-Link Routers
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I have been trying unsuccessfully for a while trying to get the port forwarding to work..

under ADVANCED

-- NAT FORWARDING

----VIRTUAL SERVERS

I have added 4 different ports - NONE work

service type - BLANK

external port - 55xxx

internal Ip - 192.168.x.x

internal port - 55xxx

protocol - all

then ENABLE this entry

and SAVE

I have rebooted the router several times

the port(s) will not open

checked at

https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

https://portchecker.co/check-it

even port 80 is closed...

please help me figure out what I did...

thank you

Hey there @Keebler125,

Welcome to the community!

Is your Archer A6 behind another router or gateway?

If so, this would create a double NAT scenario, impeding the port forwarding configuration you are currently attempting.

If you're able to, can you let us know the model of your modem or gateway? It should be the device your Archer A6's WAN/Internet port is connected to. Thanks!
