Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 3.8

My ISP (local telephone company) replaced the M5 router with a newer router of a different make (Calix u6.1 GS4220E). I have one left over (bought separately as a range extender). Can I use this M5 as a wifi range extender with the above router? Even plugged in via ethernet, it is unable to find the Calix's network.

TIA

@32945762 Is the Deco configured as a main Deco?  What is the color of the LED of the Deco? Does the Deco app see the Deco?

You cannot use a single Deco as wifi range extender.  The main (or single) Deco must be connected by Ethernet cable to the ISP (modem, router, ONT, ...).

Thanks, that's the answer I was looking for.
