Hello,

  I have 3 EAP610's (v2) setup in the house,  the cellphone Wi-Fi shows a "6" next to the signal bar for wireless.  Speed tests are about 200-300 over Wi-Fi and as far as I can tell ,  Wi-Fi 6 is enabled.  I can't get anything to actually use it, and I am wondering if there is a setting im missing somewhere?

Hey  @Doc757,

I think you may be confusing Wi-Fi 6 with Wi-Fi 6E - if you are asking about the 6GHz frequency. The in Wi-Fi 6 is actually the generation of Wi-Fi, not the frequency.

Wi-Fi 6 only uses the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands - just with added optimizations over Wi-Fi 5. The 6GHz band was not introduced until Wi-Fi 6E.

The 6 that you see in the status bar simply means that it is connecting using the latest wireless standard and is making use of all the features that came with Wi-Fi 6.

Here is an overview of some of the differences between Wi-Fi generations.

  @Riley_S

That explains a few things, thank you.

I assumed, because the router had a 6ghz option to enable on the wireless network, that it was seeing compatibility with the AP's.

Thanks for the clarification!
