TP-Link Archer AX55 / AX3000 Failing within Hours with 1.2.2 Build 20230511 rel.51682(5553) Firmware
After getting this latest firmware, my router quits working / stops routing / fails / ceases to function and is unusable after getting this latest firmware. The symptoms are that there's no Internet access, I can ping the LAN address for it, but cannot get out through it. The Internet connectivity indicator light also goes out on it. The only way to resolve is to power it off and back on.
I have factory reset it with this firmware and the issues still exist.
I do use RE505X mesh extenders with it and had to re-join them to the router after this firmware installed.
TP-Link, I hope that you are aware of this already and are working on things to fix this issue. If not, please do. I also hope that the latest attack against your routers hasn't damaged them to the point of having to be replaced. I hope that a factory reset, if my router was involved with this attack, resolves the issue and clears out all malicious code?
Is anybody else having similar issues with this latest firmware?

Hello @AdamPfromMN @BamBam13 @RSKadish
I'm tagging you to inform you that our engineering has provided me with a beta firmware, that they hope will solve the reported internet dropping issue since upgrading the Archer AX55's firmware to the latest 1.2.2 version. Please download the beta firmware from the below link and upgrade it manually on your AX55 to observe if the internet will be stable.

Update, 7 hours after reboot, the router began to fail again and the symptom that came up was that everything that was wired had Internet, but anything coming wireless did not. The admin UI was extremely slow to load, but partially loaded. The router and my wired home computer had Internet connectivity. All smart home devices did not have any until I rebooted the router. Can't reboot the router more than once per day, so the scheduled reboot won't even help here.

Hello @AdamPfromMN
Thank you very much for bringing this up to our attention.
Are you saying the wired devices that are connected to the AX55 are still connecting stably but the smart home devices will lose the connection randomly?
Are all the smart home devices connected to the 2.4G network? Are you able to confirm if they are connected to the AX55 network or if they are connected to the RE505X extender? Is the RE505X joining the EasyMesh network?
How about the 5G network, is it still stable? You may create different network names for both the 5G and 2.4G networks to observe if only one band drops the connection or both.
If possible, please try removing the RE505X from the network and monitor if the connectivity is stable from the AX55.

@Kevin_Z Both instances have occurred. If I wait long enough, all Internet connectivity fails. I was just able to see it partially fail today as I was monitoring it and using it and home. Typically it has been failing in the early AM hours as it kicks my Google Home device offline and stops my white noise.
Again, as with others who reported issues on here, this started right after it auto-updated to the latest firmware.

Thank you for responding fast.
I agree that we may need to look into this further since you're not the only one who has experienced an issue with the connectivity. Our engineers are currently aware of, and are looking into the feedback surrounding this issue. To better assist you, we would like to follow up with you directly via email in order to diagnose the router configurations along with your network environment. The diagnosis won’t take long, and the steps involved are pretty simple. Please check your email and reply.

I am having the EXACT same issues that you perfectly described, and ironically, I have an RE505X as well that is connected via ENET. Thankfully, any device connected to the RE505X keeps its internet access, which I assume is due to its ENET connection to the AX55. I have even tried the same things as you to resolve the issues, but only a power cycle to the AX55 solves the issue for a few more hours. I spent an hour with my internet provider tonight trying to see if it happened to be an issue on their end, but knowing that these problems only surfaced the day after the firmware update, I was pretty sure they would not find anything.
This problem has been so bad and I have to reboot the router so frequently, that I change my reboot schedule to "every day" instead of "once a week" with the hope it would help. Unfortunately, I find I still have to reboot at least 1 more time throughout the day.

@Kevin_Z I am also having a lot of issues since the 1.2.2 firmware update with my AX55, and I also have a mesh network with a RE505X extender. I get dropouts in music played through my Sonos speakers, Echo devices lose connectivity, the number of connected clients shown in the Tether app changes. At one point the entire router disappeared from the Tether app until I rebooted it.

I installed the beta firmware about 30 minutes ago and so far everything seems to be connecting to the router without issues. I'll monitor it tomorrow to see if I continue to have interruptions to my internet or router connection.
