Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: TL-WN821N_EUUS_V6_201104_Win_Beta

I have a PC with windows 11 on it, and I bought this network adapter for allowing me connect the internet through wifi.

After installing the driver, I tried to connect to my home's wifi network, but it didn't succes. After connecting to it, it says "No Internet, Secure" in the wifi's list. However, when I open hotspot on my phone, it always working and I have internet on my PC. Also, the house's wifi works execlent, as all the devices and TV's are working with it.

It tried restart everything, the modem, PC, forget network and connect again but it still not working.

Also, I do have ping to the default gateway (192.168.1.1)

Any help please ?

@Naor Thank you for your detailed post.

For Win11, please confirm you have tried the official driver for Win10 64 bits

Dirver : https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/tl-wn821n/

If adapter connected to Wifi but has no Internet, you could refer to the following instruction:
1. Confirm other devices could get Internet access from the same Wifi network

2. Check if the PC get an IP address after connected to WiFi network, if PC has an IP address IPv4 gateway (router's IP), try to manually set  DNS to 8.8.8.8 and see if that helps.

Step in FAQ here: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/41/

3. Disable other network adapter

4. Check if there is any access control, MAC filtering  or special settings on the main router;

If still the same issue, 1) can i have a photo of the IP address 2) Model of router 3) try to ping IPv4 default gateway and see share the ping result  https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/841/
Thank you.

@Solla-topee Thank you for your answer.

The driver I installed: TL-WN821N_EUUS_V6_181023_Win

The router model: GR140DG

I followed all your instructions, but still nothing works. I am attachcing some sceenshots:

This is the output of ipconfig at the wireless LAN section:

89616e40652c455296175bd59667a526

This is the ping to the DG:

dd3a3a8b73a94457befe8e76ba980f45

This is the UI of the DG itself, in the WIFI section:

2a6dedc3b86e4495bef72bae879aa22f

072442cb9ea84cfa8b6080ec514ae616

And thats how it looks in ncpa.cpl:

d7519690b6eb4204ae58bcf329975201

Also, if it's worth mention, after installing the driver and the WPS tool, it says to push the button on the router and within 2 minutes push the adapter's button. I did so, but it failed after was stuck long time on the searching part:

4d7b30c749b347998e31acfdd4379135

Also, tried to configure Static DNS (8.8.8.8) on the network adapter, but still there is no internet connection....

What can I do? Why my phone does work with the home's wifi and the TP-link doesn't? Why the TP-link succes connecting with the mobile's hotspot and not with the home's wifi ?

Hello  @Naor

Sorry for the late reply,  this could be due to some advanced settings on router, can you check if there is any Access Control, Blacklist, Parental control or any access rules for this network adapter?

Do you have other Wi-Fi network adapters on the computer, if so, disable it.

Try a different channel & channel width for the wifi router, like Channel 6 for 2.4Ghz, 20Mhz, Channel 36 for 5Ghz, 40Mhz

You could try a different IPv4 address, like IP: 192.168.1.250; IPV4 gateway : 192.168.1.1;  Subnet: 255.225.225.0;  DNS 8.8.8.8

Please also check my private message for another driver to try.

Can I know does this happen on both wifi bands 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on the router?
