TP Link shows lack of connectivity at router though it’s connected
I have an A20 that keeps disconnecting wifi from internet even though both the cable modem and the computer plugged directly into the A20 are connected and live with connectivity. Despite multiple resets it continues to say "router is connected to cable modem but cable modem doesn't have internet connectivity" when this isnt the case.

Does it mean the wireless still shows connected but there is no internet access on the devices? What are the LED lights status when this issue happens? Is the internet always blue or it may change to orange when the issue happens? Who is the ISP? Be sure the modem internet is stable, you can confirm this by connecting a computer directly to the modem for some time and monitor.

connectivity direct to router works. So cat5 connection in house is still live, wifi doesn't work, says it's a modem issue and internet light on router is amber. Restarting both yields same problems over and over again. So TP router blames modem despite not having ISP problems, and that very router is providing connectivity via hard wired connections.

No, we didn't blame the modem or your ISP, we just want to make sure the modem internet is pretty stable before we can proceed, as we do see some customers get similar issues and it was caused by their internet line or modem.
If you are sure the modem internet is stable, but the A20 still disconnect the internet, please try the troubleshooting suggestions we provided in this thread, then get back with the required information, then we can continue:
