Model: Deco M5

Firmware Version:

Hey guys,

So in our house we have 9piece of Deco M5.
Since we cannot change it's channels and channel width, they all sit on the same channel.

Will this somehow make noise environment ?
I've read, that Wi-FI should be placed on 1,6,11 non overlap channels, but if we have 9Deco on the same channel, does it mean, that each of them need to wait other 8 Decos before using their turn?

In other word, it would be correct to put them in other channels, so each channel have only 3 Deco, instead of 9 ?

@Boriy

Mesh systems must work on the same channel.

Different devices are indeed time multiplexing on the same channel. But Wi-Fi defines very short time slot periods, and you generally don't feel devices waiting for each other if the channel isn't full.

In addition, the communication between different Decos will be dynamically adjusted between 2.4G and 5G depending on the channel busyness.
