Deco M9 Plus: Issue Pairing Xfinity Home Wifi Camera
Bought my 3 pack from Costco. Great!! Easy setup and good performance throughout the house. Comcast recently sent me a replacement Wifi camera and it would not pair. I tried repeatedly and even configured the guest wifi with a simple SSID/Pwd.Finally after numerous tries and working with tier 3 support at Comcast, I pulled out an older router (Netgear Nighthawk) and configured it with the same SSID as my guest network. I shut off the Deco 9 and the camera paired immediately with the Netgear router. Comcast support and I are scratching our heads. Is there an incompatibility?

It might be due to the 2.4G and 5G being the same name. If the camera can connect to both bands, disable the 2.4G on the Deco temporarily, set up the camera then enable the 2.4G after, and vice versa if the camera is only 2.4G.

@Tony I tried this using the guest wifi and a shorter SSID and password. No Go.

Here are some tips on getting the camera to connect: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/troubleshoot-camera-connectivity
As far as the Deco I would update the firmware so it is running the latest software build. When you download the firmware you will use the utility included in the zip file to upgrade the software: https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202006/20200623/Deco_M9Plus_V2_1.4.0.zip

@Tony Upgraded my Deco M9 this morning using the downloaded utility. Upgrade went fine. I was then prompted, via Deco app, another upgrade was available. I took it. My Deco M9 is now running 1.4.2 Build 20200725 Rel. 65637.
Reset camera and tried to connect it to the Deco network. It still won't connect. I powered up my other router (Netgear NightHawk) and was able to connect to it. I spoke with Xfinity support and they don't have anything to offer since it does connect to a router.
Thoughts?

I would reach out to our support team to see what they may find for you.
In the mean time, you could try disabling fast roaming in the advanced menu.
I am not sure if the camera may prefer a WPA2 AES wireless network, if so you can also upgrade to this firmware: https://static.tp-link.com/2020/202009/20200917/Deco_M9Plus_V2_1.4.3.zip
Switch the wireless network to be AES only and try to set that up.
