I am looking to build a nest network at the lake house to get down to my dock and back yard from my AC1750 router. Looking for easy and reliable setups people have done, data speeds are slow there so 2.4 is plenty for my needs. Does the AC1750 and EAP225 work well for this scenario?

Distance and obstacles are the main things that will hurt you. Placement will be key. Per the spec, WiFI distance should be good out to 150 feet. I have seen much longer distance (double) between two neighbors but no obstacles. Several devices in my garage are 70 feet or more away and through several walls. Out to my dock's IP camera is more than that in the other direction. My Archer C8 has beamforming where the C7 does not, however the EAP225 does. I am using a RE220 Extender via WIFI to cover a different dead zone. I have not used an EAP225 AP. I would think the closer you can get the EAP225 with the least obstacles to the back yard and and dock the better.

@cfast

What you can do is use the Archer A7 as your router.  You would want to disable the Wirelss on it though.  Then use a EAP225 AP as your wireless AP in your home.  You can then use the EAP225-Outdoor as your APs for your backyard and down to the dock.   EAP225-outdoor has a range of 150m.  The reason we suggest this is becasue the EAP225 and the EAP225-Outdoor can be linked together via their mesh function.  This will allow your indoor and outdoor to be on the same network.
