Slow network performance on AX50/AX3000
Hello, I just purchased a AX50/AX3000 router and am having a terrible time gettingt the LAN speeds to be good. My other router was a Netgear and I was able to confirm that my WAN/Internet speeds are 500/250 from my ISP. I am getting close to that on wireless when I am right near the router. However, with the AX50 I am only getting 60mbps down and 40mbps up. I've tried everything including mimicking my settings from the Netgear router. Could this be an issue with my devices (iPhone and Macbook Pro) not supporting AX?

I have this router AX50/AX3000 since a few days, I had setup it by using de Tether App. I have a lot of issues regarding connection speed and my Range Extender/Repeater "TL-WA850RE V2" is not working properly when paired to this new router (All devices connected to the repeater lost internet access most of the time), I have also tried to use my old router "TL-WR841ND" with WDS Bridging and it behaves the same issues as the Range Extender/Repeater...I think the main problem is in the AX50/AX3000.
I will do a factory reset and will NOT use de Tether App for setup it. I will try all for a few days, then I will use again the Tether App and see if changing any minimal configuration from Tether App mess up the router...I will let you know the results.

@oroechimaru I have that firmware "1.0.8 Build 20200426 rel.65338(5553)" which was installed by the Tether App during the Initial Setup I did this week when received this router AX50/AX3000. Because some people here mentioned an issue with the Tether App, I proceded to do a Factory Reset and did not use the Tether App, instead of I used the Web Interface Quick Setup (just personalized my WiFis Name and Pwds), these are my conclusions:
-Traffic/Speed issues occurs by using WiFi (NOT Ethernet) and many kind of devices (Lenovo ThinkPad X280, LG G5, Xbox One)
-Some devices seems to work properly (Skyworth Android TV).
But please pay attention on these kind of strange behaviours ocurring on devices which experienced Traffic/Speed issues :
-You can't access some pages, but you can see multimedia content (youtube/netflix) without any delay.
-Mobile/Desktop apps like OneDrive (cloud) are not able to preview/download your documents, but you can upload content without any delay.
-Chat apps on mobile/desktop (like Slack/Whatsapp) behave with delay and sometimes you can't send/receive messages/pictures/etc, but Google Meets runs perfect without any delay or noise.
-http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest on mobile/desktop shows that you have a terrible low download speed, but you can see multimedia content (youtube/netflix) without any delay.
-http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest on mobile/desktop shows that you have a perfect upload speed.
-Xbox one constantly fluctuates speed when downloading/update any game/app content, in this case I can't check multimedia content because de youtube app can't start. When I connect the ethernet cable, all works flawless.
-Skyworth Android TV works properly via WiFi, I tested multimedia content and Web Pages not loading in Laptop.
Those are the issues I have. I will try to activate, deactivate WiFis options to see if something help.
EDIT:
17/11/2020
I updated my original text to be more precise.
I am able to consistently reproduce the OneDrive issue: I CAN'T download/preview/open any file in my cloud account using OneDrive desktop app (Lenovo Laptops using Windows 10) or Android app BUT uploading is not an issue.
i switched from Router to Access Point mode to see if some specific routing issue is related, all described problems continue.
I also focused all my tests by using the 2.4GHz band, disabling the 5GHz just to give a try.
At the end, I decided again to do a Full Factory Reset, but without even do the Quick Setup Wizard, all the previously described issues continue happening...

For those removing ax, instead have you tried an ax wifi card (intel ax200 based suchbas the tolink ax3000/ax50 router nic combo)?
for 5.2ghz research speed differences of 40, 80 , 160 hz etc.
2.4ghz is a slower channel than 5.2ghz, and if capped at 40MBS sounds like you are on wireless N (and need ac or ax wifi card)
For my router:
a. Enable qos in tether (I disabled other festures in tether), then set qos to your preferred setting like "gaming" since streaming causes network congestion.
b. Update firmware
c. Use settings below as starting point
80hz limits my bandwidth but less interference than 160hz
d. Start with auto channel settings until you find a preferred channel. Some devices cant use dtf channels but most ax wifi devices can (including network cards)
e. My air time fairness settings are for my home preferences (5ghz for gaming, 2.4ghz for streaming)
ignore my recommended channel settings and start at auto.

@Sevi I have had this same issue as well. I have gig speeds and was hitting a wall at 260-280 mb/s, but once I uninstalled the tether app and did a factory reset I was hitting my gig speeds. I don't think its the tether app, but if you have the app you cannot "bind" your device or else expect a bottleneck also do not set any devices as a "High Priority".

@oroechimaru @DMBritos I had the same bad experience with 1.0.8 firmware. Fortunately i could downgrade it to 1.0.6 again.
I used to like tp-link products but this device is really driving me crazy....

@DanielGB could you please confirm me that issues ocurred by using WiFi but when you went wired all works perfect?. Because, in my case, issues happen only by using the WiFi (both bands), when I plug my Laptop to a Lan port I have the maximum speed (50M) of my ISP (Claro AR Fiber) vs less than 1M using WiFi bands (dslreports test).
Thanks in advance.
