Model : Archer C7
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version : 3.15.2 Build 170525 Rel.37571n
ISP : Spectrum
hardware version:
randomly throughout the day my 5ghz drops from my wifi. the 2.4 continues to broadcast. however, originally the 5 ghz would drop until i reset the router but since i have updated the firmware and now given a dedicated channel to 5ghz it will drop but then approximately 2 minutes later turn back on. For instance just since I have been home from work 3pm until now 5 pm, the 5ghz has dropped 3 times. just recently it has been getting worse, it use to drop every week or so, now its multiple times daily. any help would be appreciative.

Replying to follow thread.
Been having same problem for about a month on mine, but its a V3 hardware version. A Reboot brings it 5G back and visible(broadcast)....
AC connected devices seem to almost always trigger it to fail again quickly.

Contact support and see if they have a beta firmware if you have a device (laptop) with a Killer AC Card.... see the sticky thread about this issue....

My Archer 5400 was fine until I plugged in a Seagate NAS Personnal cloud to my router. I did some trouble shooting and removed the NAS personal cloud and it stopped disappearing. Now trying to figure out how to use my NAS personal cloud without it interfering with my router. Maybe this will help you with your troubleshooting

Disregard my last poat. It worked for 2 days. Now I have lost my 2nd channel (5ghz_2) for good. Comes back for about 30 seconds then disappears for an long time.
