Archer 1900 C9 - slow download speed/ fast upload speed after firmware update

I recently updated the firmware on my Archer 1900 C9 V1.0 (US) to latest firmware on TPLINK US website: "archer_c9v1_us-up-ver3-17-0-P1[20161008-rel64225]". After the update, the download speed is fluctuating between high speeds (70 mps), and really low speeds (2 mph), while the upload speed is consistently high (8 mph).
I was wondering if there is a setting that I need to adjust on the router. Thank you in advance for your suggestions and advice!
