Slow download and upload
Just had broadband installed. Tech was getting 67Mbps download speed.
Setup
direct connect broadband cable to M5, no router, 3 M5 mesh setup.
m5 set to router, QOS - 1000/1000
Speedtest via PC wireless to main M5, les than 5 ft. distance - 6-8 Mbps down/ less than 1 Mbps up
Speedtest via PC direct connect to main M5 - 6-8 Mbps down/ less than 1 Mbps up
Speedtest via cell - 6-8 Mbps down/ less than 1 up
Do I need a router?

Hi NY
The Deco is a router, so there is no need to get another one. A few things to try:
1. Disable the QOS or set it to standard (standard is the same as off)
2. Disable Fast Roam
3. Ensure you are running the most recent frimware
4. Swap one of the remote units for the main unit and retry the speed test you mentioned in the thread
5. Try a different test server. Some times the test results are due to a long distance or congested server.
6. Give us the results.

1. QoS set to standard
2. Fast roaming is disabled.
3. Firmware is updated.
4. speedtest for satelite - 5 Mbps
5. Have tried various servers with no changes in test results
When I check my network details on my phone Link speed is 150 Mbps.
When I check my wifi status on my PC - speed is anywhere from 290 - 400 Mbps.
6. Latest speedtest - 5.4 /2.7

Okay, thank you for this information. Next we would suggest swapping the nodes. Make one of the satalite units the base and the current base the satalite.

Replaced node. Reset all three nodes.
New Speedtest:
Phone - 9.6/5.2
PC - 6.1/3.93
ethernet - 6.31/1.97

I engaged with our engineers to see if they have any additional insight. They suggested doing a full Reset of the system and to set it back up. Not sure if when you said reset you meant that or a simple power cycle. After this when you set up the QOS use the option "set it via internet speed test" If speed is still slow they would like two additional actions taken
1. Change the etherent cable between the base unit and the modem.
2. Connect a PC dirrectly to the modem to see if the speed is accurate

It was a full reset. No change in speed. Changed the ethernet cable, no change. And have connected the PC directly, no change.
I heard back from the tech who installed and they said Ookla speedtest consistently comes back at one-third or less of the actual rate of download with their system. We haven't has any issues downloading videos with several users online, so I'll have to take their word for it. Thanks for the help, now I know how to troubleshoot.

Oh Okay. I know that was true when OOkla was flash based but i thought that evolved from that. Could be wrong. Please let us know if you do have any issues.

Did you update the firmware? It looked like the version you initially listed was very old.
EDIT- actually I think what you listed is the app version.
