@Solla-topee What's this 'currently' ???? Many people have been asking for years to enable this very basic level of support and TAPO have done nothing.

Seriously, such an issue will destroy any customer loyalty.

  @PeterKelly I have been a customer of tp-link/Tapo for many years and have many of their products installed around my house. The devices are managed through two Android apps Tapo and Kasa. I have never understood why tp-link require two separate apps rather than combine them into a single app.

I have recently changed my email address which manages the two tp-link apps and want to update them with the new address. To my astonishment I've discovered that, unlike any apps I log into using my email address, for some strange reason tp-link doesn't allow this. Instead I am now told I have to create totally new accounts for the two apps. Due to the very large number of tp-link devices I have around my home, this will will be very difficult and take an extremely long time to get all my devices set up on the two apps.

I consider it appalling that tp-link apparently can't be bothered to do what every similar app does and just allow me to update my email address which should take only a minute or two. I am now very unhappy with tp-link and will no longer purchase (or recommend others to purchase) their products. I feel they are just carp.

  @Ojos I couldn't agree more. I have 20 Tapo items and to reset them all, together with controls and schedules is simply not an option.

For me the email will remain as the 'username' for the operation, but any emails TP might want to send will disappear into the ether.

The further consequence is exactly as mentioned by the both of us: the number of Tapo items will never increase. As soon as they fail they will be replaced by another brand.
