Hi,

My C420 Camera is covering our driveway and my detection zones are as shown in the image below. Most times when a car goes past on the street, I get an alert "vehicle detected". I've test the wake sensitivity on different levels, <3 it doesn't alert for cars on the street, or detection me walking up the driveway. >4 it alerts for inside and outside of detection zones.

I've set vehicle detection down to 2 and person detection up to 8, but still doesn't solve the problem. The Camera is inverted, I've tried drawing the detection zones inverted, but to no avail.

Any advice? I'd expected outside of the detection zones to be excluded from alerts.

@Solla-topee I tried installing without inversion, and changed the detection zones appropriately. It still detected motion, people and vehicles outside the detection zones.

I've continued to experiment and found turning hardware acceleration off (within video options) has stopped the false triggers from outside the set detection zones.

Hi,
We do not suggest inverting the camera, as it may cause some detection issues. In your situation, you can install the camera in the correct direction, then go to the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Video & Display page to enable the Invert Image option, and then set up the Detection feature as per your needs and check if it works.
Best Regards
