Model: Tapo C225
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

I have a C225 V2 (EU) camera that failed to reboot after a power cut.

When I unplug/replug it the red LED comes on and stays on. There is some clicking but that's it. I have tried resetting but nothing happens.

In these forums I read about people who have successfully flashed the V1 hardware version of this camera but I can not find any V2 firmware to download. I'd really like to reflash the thing and get back in business. Returning this to a retailer will take forever. Better would be a straight swap direct from TP-Link.

Another C225 (V1) I have has had no such problem.

Hi,
1. We do not have the instructions to flash the camera's firmware.

2. You can refer to Case 2 in the following instructions to troubleshoot the reported issue.
What to do if my Tapo Camera gets bricked after a firmware update?

Best Regards
