Hi all,

First time posting around here (username checks out?) - I'm attempting to hardwire my Tapo D235 and I note the requirements for this by TP Link

  • Voltage range: 8-24V AC
  • Power requirement: Minimum 10VA

The transformer I have:

  • Voltage output: 11.5V AC
  • Link: https://www.sparkydirect.com.au/p/SAL-MINI-P60-Electronic-Transformer-12V-AC-/-60-watt-With-Flex-Plug

I only get a clicking noise from the unit and it doesn't switch to hard wired mode.

Any chance somoeone can review the provided link and let me know if I'm missing something? or if you have a recommended transformer for the job?

    Thanks!

Try to use another transformer if you have one.

Please use a voltage tester to check the voltage at the two terminals of the doorbell and report the values.
