I need a trigger based on Watts consumed. So I can determine if someone's left a coffeemaker running after 5pm.

I've used a cheaper device to do this succdessfully. However it was "used up" perhaps by the heavy power load from the coffee maker. This TP-Link device is rated for more then enough power, but seems to lack any trigger mechanism.

IFTTT shows absolutely no triggers.

Google Home's only trigger is "Turns on or off". I've found that to be an impractical trigger for determining if a coffee machine is still running after 5pm.

Is this Kasa Energy Monitoring switch (or Kasa in general) going to support a real-time watts-based trigger for either of these services? So I can send off an alert if someone's left the coffee machine running?

I'll be returning this one if not. I don't mind buying another Kasa swtich to replace it, but it seems unlikely just buying a different Kasa switch is going to get me such a trigger.

I see my model is KP125MP2, does HP125MP4 support such triggers?

Thank you, -Gord
