Hello Tapo users! ;)

Problem with Tapo c420 camera - not seeing people that are passing by and not starting record! Sensitivity is set to highest - 10 for person recognition, but nothing happenens! Roughly 12-15 meters to person but no records... At the same time cars and motion are noticed at much further distance - 30+ meters! With that low sensitivity basically that camera is useless... Persons are much more important to record at property than cars that passes by... Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem? Could not find option to record 24/7 or without movement detection... Is there nothing like that in c420 camera?!

From the perspective of your camera, in what direction do people typically move? Is it radial movement (moving directly toward the camera or in reverse) or lateral movement (movement goes across camera's field of view)? 

 

Person detection triggers when camera recognizes a human shape through AI, it will be difficult to trigger if the human shape is unclear.

 

As a battery-powered camera, Tapo C420 does not support continuous recording. If you prefer more accurate detection and want to enable continuous recording, consider purchasing an AC-powered camera. The battery-powered camera is in sleep mode most of the time to save battery. Detection and recording start only after the camera is woken up. In contrast, the AC-powered camera does not have a wake-up process, so it can begin detection and recording more quickly.

Persons are moving lateral. I will send you video and screenshots on PM. There is 3 cameras looking at pedestrians walkway through my property. 2 of them are Tapo c325wb and one is c420. You will see that first two are recording very fast and reacts quite accurately. But c420 that I have set to watch over two of c325wb is not even starting to record at closest of distance - 12-15 meters when person is walking bye... 

As I wrote before and you will see on video and screenshots at the same time camera is starting to record cars that are driving bye at much further distance - 25-30meters... How can that be so?! 

That means that it sees motion of vehicles, but not humans... Strange.
