Tapo C210 V2 Firmware 1.4.3 update unstable
I updated the firmware on my Tapo C210's on 1.4.3. Now both work intermitantly so they appear and disappear from the app. Hard reset doesn't help.
Version 1.4.3, Build 241010, Rel 33858n
The green light turns amber for a while then back to green. The app shows them offline and then online at random intervals. It appears to be a network connection stability issue with the update as before they worked fine non-stop.
I have hard reset them pressing the button and going through the setup process again successfully. Unfortunately after they appear on my app, the video shows tap to refresh. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. The green light is on for some time then turns amber, and then back to green later. The cameras appear online then offline in the app.
My network wifi is stable with no issues, and I have rebooted the router even.

Okay after some trial and error, I managed to set the network settings to a static IP for each of the cameras, and all is working again. For some reason if this is not done the cameras lose connectivity and try repeatedly to reconnect.
So far it is stable.
EDIT: spoke too soon, one camera still drops off the network. Other one seems stable.

Hi,
For the camera that has an unstable issue, please go to its Device Settings > Device Info page, tap the Wi-Fi icon, and check the RSSI value.
If the RSSI value is less than -70 dBm, please move the camera closer to the router and check if it helps.
You can also try to enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, reconfigure it with another phone, and connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi, then check if it will work fine.
Best Regards

@Solla-topee Hello, thanks for the reply.
I checked both, and both are at -48 RSSI. Luckily the other camera has reappeared in the app, and I changed the IP to a different number to try. Hopefully it will remain stable. I got these cameras back in May, and they have been great out of the box and the previous firmware update that occured. I'm not sure why the most current update destabilized things.
Edit: I am using a different subnet on my wireless router so I wonder if that could be a factor. I will try changing my router to use 255.255.255.0 instead once I'm at work and report back.

Hi,
Thank you for your update. It's recommended to test for some time and feel free to report if the camera is working fine or not.
Best Regards
