Model: Tapo C310
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

The camera had a firmware update and unfortunately while updating, the app closed which I think affected the update. Now the camera has a solid red light and I can't factory reset it even when I'm pressing the reset button for more than 5 seconds. I read another thread with a similar issue and they basically said the camera is now unusable. I really hope that's not the case as we've had this camera for years (no longer under warranty) and never had an issue with it until now. Is there any fix for this?

Hi,
Typically, closing the Tapo app won't brick the camera when updating. You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot the reported issue and check if they help.
What to do if my Tapo Camera gets bricked after a firmware update?
Best Regards
