Model: Tapo P100
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 230804 Ref 190922

Recently purchased 4 x P100 to replace some Defenders and add to my existing TP-LINK KP105 which was controlled by the KASA app. This app allowed you to see the next scheduled switch on time. Now I am using the TAPO app, which I am told works with Kasa, the newly added devices, although they do switch on and off correctly, do not show the next scheduled event, whereas the one I set up with Kasa still does.  Any advice anyone please?

Next Event does not display the automation events, it is the same on both Kasa and Tapo App.

Have you tried to create schedule, timer, or away mode for the kasa plug? Do they display in the Tapo Next Event?

  Well, you seem to have cracked it! The reason one of the plugs worked was because it had a schedule set up in Kasa and just transferred to Tapo. When I was setting up my new plugs, I tried schedule but it didn't offer me sunset with offset (might have been operator error), hence why I went for Automation. Also with Automation, you can see all the plugs in a list and turn on/off the automation, which is handy for me as I have a holiday routine for when we are away and put different plugs on different times and turn some off completely.  Using schedule, I see I can deselect them as favourites. I have made some changes for today for testing and will report on success or failure.

What's the version of your Tapo App? How about the hardware and firmware version of the KP105?

Thanks for your reply. The KP105 (the one still in use) is Hardware Version 2.0, with a Firmware Version of 1.0.4. The Tapo app Version is 3.1.605

Cheers

What did you create? Schedule, timer, or away mode? Or a time-based (Trigger) automation?

  @Wayne-TP

The four new devices (P100) were set up as  a trigger time automation based on sunset with an offset through the Tapo app. The one that shows me the next event was initially set up as a KP105 in Kasa as a schedule and I then added the P100 using the same name.

  @LeKirk Seems weird to have to reply to your own post but the drop-down option doesn't offer me edit facilities. Possibly not been a member long enough or not enough posts under my belt, however

Result of test with one Automation replaced by schedule was that I can see "next event" and it switched fine. Next big test, turning off some schedule favourites and enabling my "holiday" routines. I know I could use "away" but haven't tried that yet to see what it offers.

Well, could edit this post.

Just looked at "but" it offers to set random on/off period; not what I want but will bear in mind for future.

One has to be logged in to edit; didn't realise, all other forums I'm on keep me logged in!

Automations removed and replaced by schedules,  also found I can retain schedule settings and just turn them off rather than turn deselect them as favourites.
