Hello,

The camera is installed outside and it is when our neighbors come home the camera starts watching them in their yard and our yard stays unwatched. So my question is there a way to limit the movement of the camera? So even if there are people/movement in the other yard the camera will stay at ours.

Hi,
Currently, the Tapo camera does not have a feature to limit the horizontal & vertical movement of the camera with the motion tracking feature turned on.
Thank you for your feedback here, while we don't have any specific details that I can share about if this feature can come to the product or when it might, I'll log the feature request and pass it along to the team to evaluate.
Best Regards

Hi,
It seems you have enabled the Motion Tracking feature so the camera tracks the motion and moves to monitor other areas. You can go to the camera's Device Settings>Detection page to turn off the Motion Tracking feature, and then it won't move the lens when a motion/person moves in front of the camera.

Best Regards

Hello and thanks for your reply.

I really like the Motion Tracking feature - that's why I bought this camera. My question is there any feature to limit the horizontal movement of the camera. For example I don't need the first 60 degrees and the last 20 of full 360 circle.

Regards,

  @Solla-topee

why is it so hard to put an extra code and an option in the app to limit the movement. Is a basic feature and a logical one if the camera can do 360deg.

my camera constantly records the projector image amd not the dog and this because i cannot limit the movement.

Let me know where can i make an enhancement request for this function.

thank you

Need this as well to limit horizontal and vertical panning. Currently its useless to emable. Please also look to support other request https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/543560?replyId=1314768&utm_source=Subscription&utm_medium=email

Motion limit is a really necessary feature when using motion tracking. I don't want to record my neighbors and for that the camera has to implement this feature, mainly the pan limit.
