Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.3.6

I have several C200 cameras.  most behave correctly.  One will not save settings.

  • Invert image will not save. - Turns on but turns off as soon as the Video & Display page is exited.
  • Notification settings will not save.
  • Detection settings will not save.

Tried rebooting camera and also tried reset but did not help.

Any sugestions?

You can try to update the APP software version and firmware version, that may help.

  @DBNZ

Hi,
1. After you turn on the Invert Image option on the Tapo app>Device Settings page of the C200>Video & Display page, please go back to the Device Settings page, wait for one minute, and back to the Video & Display page, does the Invert Image option turned off? If not, force close the Tapo app, open it again, and check if the Invert Image option remains on.

2. Have you tapped the Home/Away mode card on the Tapo app>>Cameras tab after changing the Notification and Detection settings? The configurations on the Home/Away mode may overwrite your current settings.
How to edit Home and Away Mode for Tapo&Kasa Cameras on the Tapo app?

Best Regards

Having the exact same issue, did your troubleshooting and still won't work.  Ready to return to Amazon.

  @caseystone

Hi,
Please confirm the Tapo app version and your Tapo camera's firmware are up to date. If so, you can try to install the Tapo app on a different phone and check if you can change the camera settings successfully.
Best Regards
