RTSP not working
RTSP not working
Hi.
I have tried with vlc to open the rtsp link. The goal being, I would like to set it up on my tv to see the camera, but I cannot connect.
VLC is giving me the error:
live555 error: Failed to connect with rtsp://10.1.1.20:554/stream1
satip error: Failed to setup RTSP session
live555 error: Failed to connect with rtsp://10.1.1.20:554/stream1
satip error: Failed to setup RTSP session
I have used the rtsp link like this:
rtsp://username:pass@10.1.1.20:554/stream1
I have tried with onvif as well, but there I get through other apps that my username/password is wrong.
I am just trying to watch it in the local network. Using the tapo app works just fine, everything is connected.

I just wanted to give a minor update on this.
They have contacted and the support was excellent. It turns out, that the current firmware limitation is that you can have two streams and tapo care and sd card are considered as two.
In theory, I can have sd card and rtsp working. I have tried with removing the sd card and with tapo care, and it worked perfectly fine.

Hi,
Please reboot the camera, and then check if you can stream the camera on your TV via VLC or iSpy.
Please help confirm the following information if the problem persists.
1. Please check how many devices stream the camera at the same time, and please disconnect other devices from the Tapo C110 when your TV stream the camera.
2. Please describe your network diagram.
And are your TV and Tapo C110 connect to the same Wi-Fi network? If so, is a PC connected to the same Wi-Fi network can ping the TV and C110's IP address successfully?
3. What's the model number and OS version of the TV?
Best Regards

I have rebooted it.
1)
Nobody is using the Tapo app or accessing it in any other way.
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'rtsp://user:pass@10.1.1.20:554/stream1'. Check the log for details.
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'rtsp://user:pass@10.1.1.20:554/stream2'. Check the log for details.
So I am unable to access both of them with VLC. I can ping them normally.
2) I am connected to my router with Wifi and so is the Tapo C110. I am just using 5Ghz and Tapo C110 - 2,4 Ghz wifi. But since its one network, I can access all other devices perfectly fine.
Ping results:
C:\Users\xxx>ping 10.1.1.20
Pinging 10.1.1.20 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 10.1.1.20: bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=64
Reply from 10.1.1.20: bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=64
Reply from 10.1.1.20: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=64
Reply from 10.1.1.20: bytes=32 time=2ms TTL=64
Ping statistics for 10.1.1.20:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 2ms, Maximum = 3ms, Average = 2ms
C:\Users\xxx>
3) I have tried few rtsp apps for my FireTV 4K, but since I cannot access it with my VLC as well, I assume, rtsp is not working at all.
Onvif method in the apps detects that there are two streams, but it cannot connect to any of them as well.

Hi,
Please help confirm the following information about the stream issue.
1. Please describe your network diagram in detail.
2. What device and app/program do you use to access the camera via RTSP stream? Is the device connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the camera? Can it ping the camera's IP address successfully?
3. Please let me know the URL you used when streaming the camera and when the problem started to happen.
Best Regards
