Users suddenly got more permissions to device shared with them
I am using a few Tapo C200 cameras for a few years to monitor an elderly person. All the cameras are managed from a single "admin" account and are shared with different "user" accounts.
That setup was very nice because the user accounts had very limited privileges and could basically just passively watch the cameras and couldn't use advanced features or change camera settings.
Suddenly this week, without any prompt, the user accounts got more permissions than before and some users that are less tech savy started tapping all the new buttons opened for them.
This caused a huge disaster in the home of the elderly person we are taking care of, because suddenly people started talking through the cameras and moving them arround randomly. The whole situation was terrible and caused paranoia for the elderly person.
Currently there is no option to revert to the previous permissions or to allow or deny users from certain features. And I certaily don't think that such a forcing permission change should have been rolled out silently like that.
I hope an option to customize the shared device permissions will be introduced soon to fix this issue.
Thank you
