TC70/C200 V3 poor mic quality and laggy live view compared to V1

I have 2no. TC70 cameras, one V1 FW1.3.5 and one V3 FW 1.3.0.
The mic on the V3 is garbage, and the live view is super laggy compared to the V1 (1-2 secs max on the V1, nearly 30 seconds on the V3) despite being way better RSSI level as its closer to the WiFi AP,
I'm also unable to Change the stream quality from the OSD as with the V1, and you have to go into the settings instead which is a pain.
Is there something I can do to fix this? Seems to be no FW update past 1.3.0, I'm honestly intending to return it to amazon and look for another V1,
The camera is definitely better on the V3 but as I'm using these as baby monitors (have built in cry detection) I would prefer a better mic and less latency over higher quality image (yes I've tried reducing the image quality and switching between quality and compatibility modes)
Any advice before I return it?
