I really don't understand how an internet device manufacturer can produce a security camera that CANNOT be set to Static IP. I went to find some documents about C200 and was really shocked when TPLink instructs customers to use their product.
  You need to bind IP&MAC on the router to be able to set static IP. First of all, put yourself in the customer's perspective, do you buy the product and want it to serve you or do you have to serve it? Next look at the security camera market and find me a company whose cameras can't set a static IP from the same device as you (sorry, not available). And programming to be able to set static IP is so difficult that your programmers can't do it. Also from a technical point of view, with my home using a mesh system (not TPLink of course), the device's terminal MAC when it arrives at the router is NOT the device's MAC, it varies depending on the mesh node. And you force me to set a static IP with the router's IP&MAC? Are you quizzing me?
I think you will comment like I have to find some way to get the device's real MAC to reach the router that provides DHCP, so please go back to my previous statement that I bought your product to make it serviceable. serve me or should I go serve it.
