Thank you for raising the problem of your Tapo Plug. 

For this issue, can you try to perform below tests and let me know if they have the same delay problem?

1. Control plug under local network (phone connects to the same wifi as the plug) with Tapo APP. 

2. Control plug under remote network (use mobile data or other wifi) with Tapo APP. 

3. Control the plug with Alexa APP (no voice control)
