KP105 reset issue
I have a KP105 which I deleted from Kasa app and have reset (10sec hold of the side button - blinks red). I set it up and gave it a new name.
It says set up sucessful. I can, via the App, turn the plug on and off. However, if I plug a lamp into it. it comes on straight away although the App shows the plug as switched off. On / off does not turn the lamp of. It is as if the plug comes on and off but the lamp seems to ignore it.

Hello @wizzard1
After setting up the smart plug, confirm the device firmware and Kasa APP are both up to date.
Try a different device plugged into the smart plug and see if it
Confirm the Maximum load is within the required load for KP105 V1 EU it is 16A max.

When you turn the plug ON/OFF, can you hear a click sound? When manually press the power ON/OFF can the plug cut off power or give power to the home appliances?
May I know when did you purchase the plug, and what device has been plugged into the plug before and its wattage?

1. All firmware is up to date
2. Tried a different KP105 and it works.
3. Max load is well below 16A - it is a 60w lamp I am trying
4. I can hear the click sound. Manual on / off (at the wall socket), the lamp works
5. Purchased as a pack of 3 in November 2021.
Also, the 2nd plug in this box of three has the same issue as well. One works two do not. Can this be a batch issue? Can I try to reset in a different way?
Thanks

Hello @wizzard1
Thank you for providing more case details!
- Please try different home appliance like a PC/ a different light fixture to the KP105 plug and see if the issue is related to the certain lamp?
- With lamp plugged in, When turn on/off KP105 on the APP, app respond ON/OFF status correctly but device's actual status does not change, can you hear the click sound at that time? Click sound means the device responds the relay is ON/OFF on the plug.
If possible, can you share a video link of the phenomena?
Remove the device from APP will also factory reset the device.

1. Tried a desk fan. Same issue. This fan works on kasa plug that is fine.
2. on APP the Kasa plug responds with gree circle (on) / (grey off). It makes the "click"sound on on / off. However the fan doews not respond to it. I can turn the fan on / off from the mains socket switch but kaksa plug does not control it.
Not sure what you mean by video.
I suspect these 2 kasa plugs have faults. I wonder what kasa warrenty is on these?
