Model: Tapo P100
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.4

Hi,

I have 8 Tapo Smartplugs P100.

They all regularly and frequently lose connection and become offline.

They still work and run any programs but will not operate from the App or from voice command (via Alexa).

I have a Virgin Media Super Hub 3 which I have set to Modem mode.

From this I have the TP-Link Deco M4 mesh system. (3 units).

After contacting Virgin, they ran some tests and they say it isn't an issue with their network nor the Hub 3.

Any advice would be gratefully received

@T12VNG  Good day,

You could turn off Fast Roaming & Beam foaming feature on Deco for a test. ( Deco app-- More--- Advanced --Fathoming/ Beam forming)

Please put 2 smart plugs very close to main Deco and see if plugs close to main router goes offline or not.

Also make sure tapo plug firmware are up to date in APP, and your tapo app is the latest version.

If still the same issue, may I know how about the Led Status on plug when device goes offline?

Did you put Media in Bridge Mode? Do you have a  stable connection from Deco M4 on other WiFi devices like phones & laptops? Thank you in advance.

@Solla-topee thank you for your speedy reply.

Fast roaming was already disabled, but I have now turned off Beam forming too.

All firmware has been kept updated.

My Tapo app is version 2.2.46 which I believe is up to date.

When the plugs go offline the LED is amber.

I have set Virgin Media to Modem mode and not Router mode.

All other devices are fine.

I will keep an eye on the system following this change and feed back.
