Again another question on Daylight saving

Another user posted the same issue recently. I have updated Kasa on my Android device and the app will not allow for the change to Daylight saving for Sunset and Sunrise. I am also in the Eastern time zone (Canada). I consider this critical as the suggestion that I change to another time zone is a non-starter as this would also impact the actual time that I may wish to turn a device off.
