AC1900 flashable with dd-wrt firmware?

I have a n ARcher C7 now, and I just ordered an AC1900 router. I need to connect my modem with a VPN for Roku, so would I be able to flash the router with the appropriate dd-wrt fimware. Sorry to ask, but there is a lot of contradictory info out there.
