Model: Tapo C320WS
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.2 Build 241227

After 18 months of continuous, no issues use, my externally fitted C320WS has decided to go offline. Since it is high up on my house and getting to it is highly inconvenient, I am trying all else before having to do that. The camera is approx 10 feet from WIFI extender, which is working fine since other devices are still connected. I have turned off the power source, waited a couple of minutes and turned it back on. At this point I get connection for approx 30 seconds before it goes offline. During my numerous off/on tests I notice the camera is still recording and holding footage. I have followed as many of the "Troubleshoot" link as I can without going to the camera and read through quite a few threads. Is there anything else I can try before getting and using ladders to gain access to the camera?

Hi,
Does your range extender have the same Wi-Fi name as the router? Please restart the camera, and when it is online, please go to the Tapo app > Camera's Device Settings > Device Info page, tap the Wi-Fi icon, and check the RSSI value. Is it connected to the range extender's Wi-Fi and has a good signal strength?
Best Regards

@Solla-topee By the time I read your response, thank you, the camera had recovered to normal operation. 3 full days showing offline but continued to record activity, and then suddenly returned to normal. No other issues with wifi connectivity throughout the house. In answer to your RSSI question, it is now showing -55. What does this mean?

Hi,
Glad to hear your case is solved.
The RSSI is -55dBm indicating that the Wi-Fi signal strength is good. If the RSSI value is less than -70dBm, it means that the signal strength is weak.
Best Regards
