Hello,

 

I have noticed that the audio is loud and clear from the camera until I use 2 way audio which then reduces the sound from the camera, I understand that this may be part of the noise cancellation however it makes the camera impossible to use for clear 2 way communication.

 

I have tried playing around with the limited settings of the device, including adjusting the voice call mode under advanced settings to compatibility.

 

Could I request that this bug is looked at in a future firmware update? As I would really like to be able to use the advertised 2 way feature of this device.

 

Perhaps adding a setting/toggle button in advanced settings to disable noise cancellation?

I can confirm that this issue is present in all of my Tapo camera devices including my D235 doorbell  (Haven't mounted this outside door yet) & C320WS.

Why would the audio from the camera go lower when using the talk feature? It makes no sense as its impossible to hear the individual at the door unless using tap to talk (which I don't want to do)

 

Also using the 2 way audio also decreases the volume of the audio which I connected to my NVR via RSTP. This is very unusual and tells me that there's a setting which cannot be configured by the end user running in the background affecting all streams.(Rendering my doorbell useless)

 

Please could there be a feature request for this odd default setting to be disabled via advanced options?

Hi, 
On the camera's Live View page, after you tap the Call icon, please tap the icon at the top right corner of the Video Call page, and make sure the microphone and speaker volume are set to the highest value.

 

If the problem remains, could you please send me a video showing the reported issue for analysis?

I have just sent the message:

for clarification: this is also affecting the audio streams using the camera account feature.

 

This issue is present on:

Tapo C220 (shown in video sent)

Tapo W320WS (i have 2 and both have this problem)

Tapo D235 Doorbell

 

I need to be able to turn off the noise reduction during voice call for these cams to be usable.
