Model: Tapo C230  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1

Brand new. Tried rebooting, unplugging, reinstalling app, clearing data and cache. Camera and app are up to date. I can change every other setting but video mode is on auto and I want it only on day. Failed, try again later for day or night.

Hi All,
If you have the error message "Failed, please try again later" prompted when changing the Tapo C230 V1's Video Mode on its Live View page, you can try the following steps and check if it helps.

 

  1. Go to the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings page.
  2. Tap Video & Display > Image Settings.
  3. Change the Image Style(if you want to keep using the one selected already, select another one and then change back to the previous one).
  4. Go back to the Live View page and change the Video mode for a try.

Hi,
Please confirm the following information for the reported issue.
  1. What's the model number and OS version of your phone?
  2. Please go to the Tapo app > Me > About page to check the app version.
  3. Please try to install the Tapo app on a different phone and check if it helps.

S23 ultra. Android 14.

Tapo app 3.9.523

I have no other phone. I have 8 other various tapo cameras and they all work fine and I can adjust all settings on them including video mode.
