Camera Sound Not Working

Can anyone help.

The sound used to work and record on the camera and suddenly stopped.

I've adjusted the mic. I've troubleshooted the camera. Unplugged and replugged and even reset and re-added the camera to the tapo account.

I can't hear any sound live now except crackling. It does not record sound, just the crackling that I hear live.

I can't think what else to do as it worked when first bought. Arrived end of March so quite new still.

The talk function works still.

Hi,
If your Tapo camera has no sound when watching its live feed and recordings, please try the following steps.

1. Adjust the volume of the camera's microphone to maximum value and test if there are any changes.
2. Make sure that there are no obstructions covering the camera's microphone.

3. Ensure the camera is positioned to allow clear and unobstructed sound reception.

4. Check if your phone is in silent mode and increase the media volume.

5. Please uninstall the Tapo app, reinstall the latest one on your phone, and then check if it helps.

6. Try a different phone if you have one.
